"I'd Like to get my Basilisk into your Chamber of Secrets"

Best.  Pickup line.  Ever.

I honestly created this entire post JUST because I wanted to use it as the title.

But I am excited for the new HP film to come out next weekend.  Here's a look back.  I know you've heard it a dozen times, but look how much they've grown up!

Socerer's Stone

Chamber of Secrets

Goblet of Fire

Order of the Phoenix

Half Blood Prince
 And what's to come...

Are you gonna see it?
PS what ever happend to whinny, worrisome, Wonald Weasley?  He looks positively determined to kick serious ass in this picture!

Anthro Alternative

Raise your hand if you LOVE Anthropologie!

Now raise your hand if you can afford it!

Considerably less, I'm sure.

Go here.  It's like Anthro for poor people.

The 5 Past 5 Future Project

"So where were you 5 years ago?"
A friend asked me in a coffee shop few days ago.
We both started to reflect and divulged, but the topic
quickly, naturally changed.
"So where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?"
It seems we are less interested in where we were,
and more interested in where we were going.

As each of us shared, we realized just how much we had changed in 5 years.  And as exciting as it is to look back and see how much you've grown up, it's even more exciting to look forward to what's to come.
I started looking at old photos and reflecting on all the experiences I've had in the past.  This is what the past 5 years have looked like for me:

Moved Out -Went to College - First Roommate Experience

Summer Volunteering in Kenya and Uganda
Studying Abroad in Oxford, England
Backpacking in Europe

Moved to Seattle (and made friends for LIFE)
Became a Puppy Mom
Bought First Car
 Went to the Olympics
And one AMAZING summer

Where do I see myself in 5 years?
Epic trip to Vegas (Dec 17-19 baby!)
More Traveling
And the big stuff like buying a house
Finding a husband
Having kid(s)
Oh and I want another dog, a playmate for Gams
But I'll still be in Seattle
Hopefully still at SeattleBioMed
But also hopefully being paid more.
And duh, these people will still be in my life :)

Where have you been?  What will you do?

Look of the Day: Candles

My decor taste natural and organic with pops of color and lots of light!  I absolutely ADORE candles.  Probably one of my top ten favorite things ever.  Especially on the coming dark and drizzly days.  I love the warmth that subtle glow creates.  Perfectly paired with a cup of tea and some Norah Jones.

Totally making these this weekend - so cute!  And customable.  Love<3

What's your favorite way to keep warm on the coming winter days?

My Halloween Costume?

I'm having trouble coming up with ideas on what to be for Halloween.

I think I'll just steal this kids costume:
